Year and A Day ClassesThe Amazon Tradition Year and A Day Study is a little heady, but it is also packed with witch-crafting as we make our way around the wheel of the year, learning about the history and philosophies of our tradition, and then crafting its "first year" tools. These include crafting a personal set of oracle cards, a book of shadows, incense, candles, a wand, a staff, divining rods, and an altar set.
As we make our way around the Wheel of the Year, we stop in each season as we get to know and work with the cardinal directions, the elements, the tools, and Goddesses of each seasons. These include the Maiden in Spring, the Mistress in Summer, the Mother in Autumn, and the Matriarch in Winter. We also recognize how these aspects of the Goddess are reflected in the stages of womyn's lives through the blood mysteries womyn share, regardless of whether or not we have given birth to children. Additionally, in each season, we explore the services provided by the initiates, the ritual priestesses, the guardian priestesses, and the high priestesses of the Amazon Tradition. After completing the initial Year and A Day Study requirements, womyn are then eligible to formally initiate in the Amazon Tradition if they choose to. Whether you seek initiation or you just want to continue coming to rituals, the choice is always yours to make. But the Amazon Tradition is not just a "one and done" study tradition! We encourage lifelong learning, and ask all of our womyn to choose a new study every year on Candlemas so they can bring valuable knowledge and skills to their coven sisters. These studies are endless: astrology, numerology, runes, wands, Goddesses, herbs, kitchen witchery, magical stitchery, yoga, Tai Chi, etc. Again, the choice is yours to make.
